You search for a bank, wallet or delivery helpline. The first number you find answers, and it is not them.

How it runs

- 03A small 'verification' payment or an OTP is requested
- 04The refund never comes, and the account is drained
You called them, so it feels like you are in control. Search results are not verified. The only safe number is the one on your card, your statement or the app itself.
If this happened to you
Block the card, then report. Save the number you dialled. It is the strongest identifier in the complaint.
If money left an account in the last few hours, call 1930 before anything else.
